Quotes:
“One of the things we have talked about is trying to get better every day, which is something we always preach in these short-term tournaments. The last three games, I have seen the team improve and we need to make sure that trend continues. It may only be marginal improvements each game, but we need to continue to put the work in to make sure we are at our best at the end of the tournament.”

- Head coach Dave Cameron (Kinkora, P.E.I./Ottawa, OHL) on the team continuing to improve

“It was a great feeling [to score a lacrosse-style goal], and a great goal especially given the timing of it. It all happened pretty quick; I just found a loose puck behind the net and I noticed there was not a defenceman covering the right post. I just went for it and saw there was a lot of room to work with. I would have been happy to have a goal go in off my skate, but I was pretty pumped that it worked out.”

- Johnson on scoring a lacrosse-style goal

“[Johnson’s] goal was incredible. It is not something that you see every day, and I had a front-row seat to it. I was digging for the puck and it popped out to Kent, and he scooped it onto his stick so quickly. The next thing you know, the puck was in the back of the net.”

“Our line had great puck support, and we were able to find each other on the ice and make some big plays. The first couple games we did not have as much success, but tonight we were creating scoring chances and putting pucks to the net. Luckily our line was able to get a couple goals, so it was nice to get rewarded.”

- Stankoven on Johnson’s goal, and playing with Johnson and Foerster
