There are a little more than three months remaining until Cornwall hosts the best Junior A hockey teams in Canada. Businesses and residents throughout Eastern Ontario are showing their excitement in many ways including attending events with the RBC Cup and supporting various fundraising activities.

Over the past few weeks, the RBC Cup has made its way to Kemptville for the Central Junior A Hockey League’s Winter Showcase, where fans of all ages had the opportunity to get close to Junior A hockey’s version of the Stanley Cup.

Team Cornwall, an ambassadorial group made up of Cornwall and area business leaders, welcomed the RBC Cup to its annual general meeting at Galaxy Cinema. Many business leaders expressed and pledged support for the event through sponsorships or ticket sales.

The sale of raffle tickets for a Sidney Crosby autographed photo continue to be made available to the public for only $2. The picture is valued at $500. The draw for this great prize will take place during the RBC Cup championship game on at the Ed Lumley Arena.

Ticket packages for the RBC Cup are still available but are moving fast. Adults are $140; seniors and students tickets are $120 while tickets for children 12-and-under cost only $60. Packages include all 13 games.
