Canada's National Women's Team Concludes Pre-Olympic Exhibition Season in "Final Faceoff" Against USA in Vancouver, BC

VANCOUVER, BC - Canada's National Women's Hockey Team faces the U.S. for the "Final Faceoff" on Tuesday, January 8th at 7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET at General Motors Place in Vancouver, BC as Canada concludes it's pre-Olympic exhibition season, the Canadian Hockey Association announced on Monday.

Tuesday's game will mark the 8th and final meeting of the 2001-2002 season of the two top nations in Women's hockey prior to the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. The US has won all seven games, including victories on January 5th (3-1 in Chicago) and on January 6th (7-3 in Detroit).

The "Final Faceoff" will be broadcast live on TSN and RDS at 7:30 pm PT/10:30 pm ET, check local listings. Tickets for the January 8th "Final Faceoff" are still available at the General Motors Place Box Office or at all Ticketmaster locations (604)-280-4444.

Canada's National Women's Team has won all seven IIHF Women's World Hockey Championships and captured a silver medal at the 1998 Winter Olympic Games in Nagano, Japan.
