Team Canada shut out Slovakia 5-0 in its first game in the The Under 18 World Cup. Scores by period 1st-0-0, 2nd-1-0.Canada came out flying in the third scoring four answered goals.Maxime Daigneault stopped all 25 shots to record the shut-out.Jarrett Lukin who scored two goals including the winner in the second was named player of the game for Team Canada.There were no pp goals scored and Canada scored a shorthanded goal in the third. Other scores from to-day were Russia 7 Switzerland 2 and Czech Republic over Sweden. There are 110 NHL Scouts attending this tournament.
