LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Canada’s National Women’s Team swept the second leg of the Rivalry Series after a 3-2 overtime win over the United States Monday night at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The Rivalry Series returns north of the border in February for the final two games. More details will be announced in the coming weeks.

“I just got on the ice and [Renata] Fast had the puck. I thought I could regroup and get some speed and she made a really nice pass to me down on the two-on-one. I felt like [Marie-Philip] Poulin was covered, so I took the shot and it went in and it’s a goal I’ll remember for a long time.”
“All the girls have been super nice and supportive. The experience has been second to none and I’m grateful to be part of it. I’m going to go back to school and take with me how hard they work day in and day out, and that’s what it takes to make the next level. “I think it’s the best Christmas present we all could have asked for. 2022 has been a pretty special year for us and to end the year winning these two games, in the U.S., after being down by three [games], you couldn’t write a better story. We knew we had work to do, and we really wanted it. We just wanted to do whatever we had to in order to turn the tide and that’s what we did. We showed up here a little earlier, we put our heads down, went to work and adjusted a few things, but in general we stuck to our game and our details and we had fun doing it and that was the difference.”
