Canada and the United States will play for gold at the 2022 Para Hockey Cup on Saturday after posting shutouts in both semifinal games on Thursday in Bridgewater, N.S.

Bridgewater, N.S. – Canada’s National Para Hockey Team earned a spot in the gold medal game of the 2022 Para Hockey Cup with a 7-0 win over Czechia on Thursday night.

• Liam Hickey (St. John’s, N.L.) and Dominic Cozzolino (Mississauga, Ont.) each had five-point nights, combining for two goals and eight assists.
• Tyler McGregor (Forest, Ont.) scored a hat-trick and added an assist for a four-point night.
• Rob Armstrong (Erin, Ont.) scored his first goal of the tournament.
• James Dunn (Wallacetown, Ont.) rounded out the scoring for Canada.
• Mathieu Leliévre (Lévis, Que.), Anton Jacobs-Webb (Halifax, N.S.) and Zach Lavin (Essex, Ont.) all had assists.
• Jean-Francois Huneault (Saint-Eustache, Que.) made six saves for the shutout.
• Canada outshot Czechia 22-6
