Canada’s roster unveiled for Rivalry Series games in December

Twenty-four players, including 16 world and Olympic champions, will wear the Maple Leaf in mid-December.

CALGARY, Alta. – Twenty-four of the nation’s top players will head south of the border for the second leg of the Rivalry Series, Dec. 15-19 in Henderson, Nev., and Los Angeles, Calif.

Canada’s roster was selected by head coach Troy Ryan (Spryfield, N.S.), Gina Kingsbury (Rouyn-Noranda, Que.), director of hockey operations with input from Cherie Piper (Scarborough, Ont.), senior manager of player development and scouting.

Canada’s National Women’s Team roster features:

“We are excited about the roster we have assembled for the next two games as we incorporate new players into our lineup and test out new line combinations,” said Kingsbury. “The depth of our women’s program allows us to continue to evaluate ourselves as we look ahead to the next women’s worlds, and we look forward to another competitive series with the Americans.”

The opener will be played at the Dollar Loan Center in Henderson at on Dec. 15 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT, followed by a stop at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Dec. 19 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.

The cross-border rivals will play two additional matchups in Canada in early 2023. Host locations will be announced in the coming months.
