Who has played the biggest role in getting you to centralization?
“Definitely my parents. Growing up, they instilled in me a lot of values that have helped make me the player and person I am today. Their unconditional support allows me to keep reaching for my dreams and pushing my limits.”

When did you decide you wanted to play for Team Canada?
“Women’s worlds in 2007. It was held in Winnipeg, and I watched the final game in a packed arena as Canada won gold. It was the first time that I saw women’s hockey at that stage and I instantly knew that I wanted to be out there wearing that jersey.”

What is the most important thing hockey has given you?
“Along with all of the lifelong friendships that I’ve gained through this sport, I would have to say the countless life skills that help me to succeed outside of the arena. The skills you learn through hockey really set you up for life.”
