Quotes:

“I think we fell a little bit into what their game plan would have been more than what we wanted our game plan to be. They obviously wanted to clog up the middle of the ice and protect between the dots, and we just made it like a circus outside the dots. A lot of puck possession, but not a lot of finding ways to get inside the dots where goals are scored, so we have to take that next step to get inside the dots where we can score some more goals.”

- Head coach Troy Ryan (Spryfield, N.S.) on his team’s performance

“It’s huge to see Blayre score. She’s a huge part of our team and usually she is pretty locked down defensively, so it’s awesome to see her get one for the team, and it was incredible timing too on that one.”

- Fillier on Turnbull's goal

“I think we’ve built every period. I don’t think we loved our start against Finland but we made the adjustments we needed to make and that’s what great about this team; we are able to adjust our game and find ways to get better. Our coaches also do a great job of giving us tips, so we’re growing every period and that’s what you want in a tournament like this.”

- Fast on the team’s performance through two games
